Tanzania 2009

Nineteen members of 5 congregations from the Northeastern Pennsylvania Synod of the ELCA spent September 15 – 30, 2009, visiting the South Central Diocese of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tanzania.  Pastor Edith Roberts and Dr. Kathy Thomforde were two of the travelers.  They spent 9 days with St. Peter’s Partner Congregation, Madihani Lutheran Church.

Pastor Roberts baptized two babies on Sunday, September 20, 2009 – Gresi Nitume Fungo and Lusayo Johni Gerisam Fungo.
