
Worship and Music Ministries
Vocal Choirs:
Cherub Choir - For children age 3 through grade 3.
Sings at approximately one Sunday service each month, and for special events.
Junior Choir - For young people from 4th through 12th grades. Sings two
or three times each month.
Senior Choir - Composed of adults of all ages. Sings almost every Sunday.
Faith Choir - Sings twice a year and for special occasions. This choir is
open to people aged 50 and over.
Instrumental Choirs:
Chancel Ringers - The adult handbell choir. Rings
approximately once per month during worship.
Joy Ringers - These young people ring handchimes approximately once per
month during worship.
Other Opportunities to Serve as a Worship Minister:
Acolytes - These young people
light and extinguish candles and assist in other ways during worship.
Altar Guild - Members ready the Nave, Chapel,and worship items for each
Service.
Assisting Ministers - Adults trained to lead worship with the Presiding
Minister.
Crucifers - These young people carry the cross to lead the procession
into worship on festival Sundays.
Greeters - Are stationed at the doors to welcome all who come to worship.
Lectors - Are trained to read the Scripture lessons during worship.
Ushers - Distribute bulletins, receive the offering, and help with
traffic flow during services.
Ministers of Holy Communion - Are specially trained to take the Holy
Communion elements from the altar to institutions and homes where homebound
members reside.
